John B. Baxter Named Chair of Krieg DeVault’s Commercial and Real Estate Lending Practice

Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce that Partner John B. Baxter has been named as the firm's new Commercial Real Estate and Lending Practice Chair. Mr. Baxter, who joined the firm in August 2011, will now lead the firm’s growing commercial real estate and lending practice, previously led by Partner Julia A. Carpenter, who remains with the firm.
Throughout his 25-year legal career, Mr. Baxter has focused his practice in the areas of real estate finance and development. Mr. Baxter represents construction and permanent real estate lenders, commercial real estate developers, and developers of multi-family and single-family residential projects. Mr. Baxter has been active in firm leadership, having served the past six years on the firm’s five-member Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Baxter has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America© and Indiana Super Lawyers for his outstanding work in the area of Real Estate Law for the past 15 years, and has annually been recognized by Chambers USA as a Leader in the Field of Real-Estate.
